in the Columbia Basin. We encourage you to learn more about water quantity
and quality issues in the Columbia Basin and become active in protecting
our valuable water resources.
Water issues are at the core of the Columbia Basin Trust's existence. The CBT has a mandate to work in the area of water as identified in the Binding Agreement with the Province of BC, the Columbia Basin Management Plan, and direction from Columbia Basin communities and residents. The CBT was created in recognition of the impacts associated with the management of water in this region, and in appreciation of the fundamental role that water plays in the communities, natural systems and economy of the Columbia Basin.
